Conceived as a celebration of the ephemeral archive of Toronto feminism. The inaugural Laboratory of Feminist Memory was held at Glad Day Bookshop on April 10, 2018.

The second LFM was held a year later on March 19, 2019 and was themed "Place and Displacement." Building on conversations about the disappearance of queer women’s spaces in Toronto, this LFM aims to remember the vibrant and magical spaces we once had, and to rebuild new intersectional queer feminist spaces.

Solidifying itself as a key part of our annual programming, our third LFM on March 24, 2020, was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Amidst the tumultuous global landscape, this year's LFM aimed to highlight sites of laughter, joy, and pleasure at a time of despair.

Our 2021 LFM was a special two-part series that asked quarantining artist/scholars to consider the home as a generative space for feminist/queer counter archives of all kinds.

Our fifth LFM, held on April 7, 2022, offers our communities space to gather, reflect, and feel amidst a time of global conflicts.

Our final LFM brings together activists and academics to experiment with ideas & memories about feminism, the archive, and academia - where they converge, where they don't, and how to build feminist futures everywhere. The event featured a bunch of familiar faces from past LFMs, as well as newcomers who reflect the next generation of feminist media activists.
